Isadora Duncan (San Francisco on May 27, 1877 - Nice on September 14, 1927) Was a dancer and a choreographer, today is considered the creator of modern dance.
Isadora was a pioneer and revolutionized the dance with a unique style, leaving behind the technique of classical ballet dance and all the patrons movement known until that time. She introduced a different type of movement more organic and friendly with the body, this style of movement was based on her own philosofy vision of life. the themes of his works often dealt with concepts like pain or death.
I choose Isadora Duncan because i love the fact that she was a revolutionary artist who change and create a new style of dance, changing the way that we see dance dance forever and allows us have the dance technique that we have today. Also her idea of exploring natural movements of the body allowing that the the natural beauty of the body express him selfs makes me really sent. unlike the classical ballet technique.
I think that thanks to her today i can be studied dance with my awn body anatomy.
